Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Wednesday mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Wednesday. By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into these Terms.

1. What Wednesday is

Wednesday is an AI companion designed for conversation, reflection, and everyday support. Wednesday is software. It is not human, conscious, a licensed professional, or an emergency service.

2. Not medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice

The Service does not provide professional advice, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis intervention. Do not rely on AI output for decisions where an error could cause serious harm. If you may be in immediate danger or experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure.
You are responsible for activity under your account and must notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may not sell, transfer, or share access in a way that bypasses account or subscription limits.
Google sign-in authenticates your identity only; it does not grant Wednesday access to Gmail or other Google content.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

break the law or violate another person's rights;
exploit, sexualize, groom, or endanger minors;
generate or distribute non-consensual intimate content;
harass, threaten, defraud, impersonate, or facilitate violence;
introduce malware, probe security, bypass safeguards, or disrupt the Service;
scrape, resell, or systematically extract the Service or its output except as expressly allowed; or
use the Service to make automated high-impact decisions about other people.

We may limit, block, or remove content and suspend accounts to protect users, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited, worldwide license to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the Service. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit your content.

6. AI output

AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or similar to content provided to other users. You are responsible for evaluating output before relying on, publishing, or acting on it. We do not claim ownership of output to the extent permitted by law, but cannot guarantee that output is unique or eligible for intellectual-property protection.

7. Beta features

Some or all of the Service may be labeled beta. Beta features may change, contain errors, be unavailable, or be discontinued. Do not use beta features for critical or time-sensitive purposes.

8. Subscriptions and payments

Certain features may require a paid subscription. Prices, billing periods, included usage, and renewal terms will be shown before purchase. Mobile purchases are billed and refunded by Apple App Store or Google Play under their applicable rules. Unless the purchase screen says otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through your app-store account settings.

9. Service changes and termination

We may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated violation, security risk, legal requirement, or nonpayment. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy, particular outcomes, or that the Service will meet every need.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wednesday and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post the updated version and effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance; material changes may require a new affirmative acceptance.
